Meet Our Comfort Keepers® Senior Caregivers

Our team of Comfort Keepers senior caregivers is uniquely qualified and ready to help

Every member of our Comfort Keepers team of senior caregivers is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best home care providers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become Comfort Keepers® senior caregivers. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.

All Comfort Keepers senior caregivers pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.

Dr. Wayland Marks

Geriatric Physician

I’m Wayland Marks, MD, and I have over forty years of experience in geriatrics and internal medicine. Comfort Keepers has given me the opportunity to continue to help frail, older individuals and to be involved in training caregivers to help this population. I have a special interest in helping individuals with dementia, like Alzheimer’s disease, and assisting family members and caregivers who take care of them.

Louise Desilets

Registered Nurse, Personal Care Manager

I am Louise Desilets. I have been a certified Home Health & Hospice nurse for over thirty seven years. My role at Comfort Keepers is to devise the Plan of Care to help our clients obtain the best customized care, so they can continue to live in their own home. I also work with fellow team members to ensure we are providing a nurturing experience to our clients, while supporting our Comfort Keepers in continuing their education. I am married with four children, and I enjoy writing, walking, biking and volunteering time in my church and with local community charities.

Denise Develin

Client Care Manager

I am Denise Nielsen, and I have been a Comfort Keeper since 2014. I came to Comfort Keepers through a current employee, but I had been familiar with the company as they provided care for my late future mother-in-law. Comfort Keepers made such a difference in mine and my fiance´’s life with their wonderful care and attentiveness. My mother-in-law’s last days of life were better because of Comfort Keepers, so I knew I had to be part of such a great team. I love what I do because I feel like I make a difference helping so many seniors in our area get the care they need and deserve. I love being a Comfort Keeper!

Ann Jones

Director of Business Development and Community Relations

My name is Ann Jones, I am the Business Development Manager of the Fredericksburg office and I am a Comfort Keeper. I joined the Comfort Keeper’s team two years ago. Prior to this position, I served as the Director of a Del Webb active adult community in the Fredericksburg area. This position, along with my prior sales experience, not only helped me attain the skills necessary for my current position but also bestowed in me a passion for serving seniors in our area. I love meeting our clients and getting to know their families. I really enjoy serving as a liaison for our clients and the resources available to them in our community. I believe we have the best trained and most compassionate caregivers in the Fredericksburg area. It is an honor to serve them. If you are looking for services for a loved one, I am confident we will be able to meet your needs, and I look forward to meeting you!

Michelle Runyon

Human Resource Manager

I started with Comfort Keepers in April 2014 as the Human Resources Manager. My passion is helping others, whether it is hiring someone who needs a job, helping a co-worker, or meeting our valued clients. (I love when I get to do this). I feel the older generation has much that they can teach us if we would only take a few minutes to listen. I truly love what I do and consider it a privilege and a blessing to be part of the Comfort Keeper’s Fredericksburg team; I am humbled every day.
